The electricity grid is a complex system in which supply and demand for electricity must be equal at all times. Energy storage plays an important role in this balancing process and helps to create a more flexible and reliable network system.
The scheme of operation of energy storage is relatively simple. If we produce electricity from a photovoltaic installation (or other renewable energy sources), the surplus will be stored in the energy storage and can be returned as electricity at any time. In addition, if we get electricity from a local supplier, the home energy storage – in case of problems with the electricity supply - will provide us with complete independence.
Energy storages can fulfill two basic functions. First of all: they are perfect for people who have installed photovoltaic installations or process energy from other renewable sources. Second: the energy storage can store energy obtained from the public grid. In both cases, the energy obtained is stored in an energy storage, i.e. a special accumulator.
